Rod Englert

Rod Englert is a 44-year veteran of law enforcement and one of the world’s leading experts on homicide crime scene reconstruction and blood-spatter interpretation. He has consulted in almost four hundred homicides in the United States, including such major headline-making cases as the O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake trials. Rod is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, where he was President of and Spokesperson for the 159th Session. He has received the Lecturer of Merit and Distinguished Faculty Awards from the National College of District Attorneys. Rod’s first book is being written in collaboration with Kathy Passero, and will be published by Thomas Dunne Books. Blood Secrets, written in collaboration with writer and reporter Kathy Passero, is part autobiography and part casebook, and will introduce the reader to what the experts zero in on - and sometimes miss - at a crime scene.
